Welcome to Powers Street Cats and Little Furry Friends adoption site. We were created last June, 2010, due to the overwhelming amount of feral cats in NYC. And especially on the block of our street. There are an estimated 750,000 cats and kittens roaming the streets in all five boroughs of New York. But with the help of the New York City Feral Cat Initiative and their TNR (trap-neuter-return) program the number of feral cats is reducing.
All of the kittens previously featured here were the offspring of the feral cats on my block. They were rescued by PSC due to poor health and injuries which if ignored would have end up dying. After months of recovery, they all regained their health and eventually adopted to loving homes for. Please take some time reading their bios and stories below. PSC is progressively making efforts to keep the feral cats safe in this neighborhood. To date, 45 cats/kittens have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and 12 adopted to forever homes. And that is just within our one block radius. Check back frequently for updates on these kittens and our progress on Powers St TNR missions. Thanks for visiting!

BLUE EYES

Name: Blue Eyes • Age: approx 4 1/2 months • Sex: Female •
Spayed, Vaccinated, Dewormed, FIV/FeLv Negative
ADOPTED!

Blue Eyes was rescued along with her sisters, Lilith and Shadow, and also their other sister July who is a Siamese mix like herself, has since been adopted. Blue Eyes is still a bit shy and is looking for a loving home who has time to give her the attention she deserves. She will be great in a quiet home as a single cat or with another playful one. She loves to wrestle with small stuffed animals, especially when she thinks you are not watching...
